Fellowship Application
Faculty members in the humanities who have been granted a leave from teaching are encouraged to submit an application to join our Humanities Research Center Fellows. Fellows receive space to work in a suite of offices in Langdale Hall where they can focus on research and writing free from interruption. The goal is to create a collegial atmosphere in which fellows will have opportunities to discuss their work both amongst themselves over lunch or coffee and in moreformal monthly seminars and workshops with other invited guests. Fellows also receive $1000 either as a summer research payment or for professional development to support their research activities.
To apply, submit a three-page (1000-word) statement of your research interests and goals, explaining what you hope to accomplish in terms of research and writing during the semester, along with a two-page CV. We are particularly interested in supporting faculty who plan to apply for external grants, but all are welcome to submit a proposal.
The application deadline is March 31 for the fall semester, and October 31 for the spring semester.
