The GSU Center for Collaborative Scholarship in the Humanities organizes a range of activities designed to foster interdisciplinary research on humanistic topics and deploying the research methods of humanistic inquiry, with the purpose of bringing wider attention to scholarship done by Georgia State University faculty.  The main project work of the center is to sponsor multi-year themed (war, borders, icons, etc.) faculty task forces able to attract external support, generate campus and community conversations, and motivate high quality research on the central issues faced by the people of the world.

In spring 2007 the main projects of the CCSH include sponsorship of the April 10 Helen Plummer Lecture, which will feature Melissa Faye Green, and an April 20 NEH workshop.
